Shahjahanpur: In an unfortunate incident, a third-year MBBS student of Teerthkar Mahaveer Medical College, Moradabad died in a road accident after their car lost control and collided with the divider near Jangbahadurganj of Lakhimpur Kheri on Saturday night.
The deceased has been identified as a 24-year-old student who was the son of Dr Pandey, a resident of a village in Siwan district of Bihar.
It was reported that the deceased after completing his exam decided to go on a trip to Ayodhya with two of his junior friends who are also medical students. They left Moradabad on Friday and were on their way to Ayodhya when the incident happened near Jangbahadurganj of Lakhimpur.

At around 1.15 am, the deceased who was driving the car lost control and collided with the divider. Due to the high speed, the car was dragged for a long distance and overturned uncontrollably, reports AmarjualaÂ
Since the car was dragged for a long time, the doors were jammed and they were unable to get out of the car. Police were approached immediately after the locals noticed the accident. When the police reached the spot, all three were taken out of the car and were immediately rushed to the hospital.
The deceased was taken to Government Medical College, Shahjahanpur but unfortunately died from the impact. Whereas, the other two were also critically injured and were admitted to the hospital in Lakhimpur.
Although his friends survived he couldn’t and was pronounced dead by the doctors at the GMC. Later, his body was handed to his family on Sunday after conducting a post-mortem.
A case was registered by the police and an investigation is underway. His unfortunate death was mourned by his family members and friends.Â
