DCI notifies on FDST For Indian Citizens, OCI, PG Diploma Holders, details

Delhi: The Dental Council of India (DCI) has announced the conduction of the Foreign Dental Screening Test (FDST) for Indian Citizens/OCI possessing MDS Degree/PG Diploma dental qualifications awarded by a dental institution outside India.

Per the notice, the FDST will be conducted on 30th April 2023 on a Computer Based Platform in Delhi. National Board of Examinations, an autonomous organization of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, will conduct FDST. Information bulletin for Foreign Dental Screening Test (MDS Degree/PG Diploma) can be downloaded from the NBE website, i.e. http://www.natboard.edu.in/.

The candidates need to refer to the information Bulletin for a scheme of the examination, test day procedures in a computer-based test and other details. Admit Cards shall be available to download from the NBEMS website, i.e. https://natboard.edu.in. The results will be declared by 30th May 2023.

The appearance in the FDST does not confer any automatic rights to secure provisional or permanent registration with the Dental Council of India or any State Dental Council. Candidates ineligible at any stage of FDST will not be permitted to appear in the examination. In the unlikely event of any ineligible candidate appearing and/or passing the FDST, the results/candidature of such candidate shall be cancelled and/or is deemed to be cancelled, even if the result has been declared or Pass Certificate has been issued.

Candidates’ eligibility is purely provisional & is subjected to the fulfilment of eligibility criteria prescribed by the Dental Council of India. Instructions in the information bulletin are liable to change based on decisions taken by the NBEMS/DCI from time to time.

The request will not be entertained for a change in date/centre of examination under any circumstances. FDST will be conducted by NBEMS at Test Centre(s) in Delhi. Candidates need to familiarize themselves with the route and location of the exam centre to be indicated in admit cards. The candidates will have to make their arrangements for travel/ boarding etc.
