Actress Shehnaaz Gill is making her big Bollywood debut with Salman Khan in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. Ahead of the release of the film, Shehnaaz Gill spoke about working with the superstar and also addressed reports that said that Salman Khan had rules for women on set that prevented them from wearing revealing clothes. This rule by the Tubelight star became widely discussed after it was revealed by actress Palak Tiwari in an interview. Palak will also be seen in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. When asked about this, Shehnaaz Gill was quoted by News18 as saying, “Nothing like that, I wore a very sexy dress during the promotion. Salman sir keeps motivating me and saying that you will grow in your career.”
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Palak Tiwari was quoted as saying. “When I was AD-ing (assistant directing) with Salman sir on Antim, not many people know this, Salman sir had a rule: Koi bhi ladki mere set pe ho (any girl on my set), neckline should be here (pointing towards the collarbone.) All the girls should be covered, like good proper girls. My mom [actress Shweta Tiwari] saw me wearing full tee, joggers, full covered and going to set and she was like ‘how you are dressed so well?’ I told her ‘Salman sir ke set pe rule hai (Salman sir has this rule on set) and she was like ‘wow! Very good’.”
However, now Palak Tiwari has said that her comments were misconstrued. She said, “It’s really been misunderstood. All I wanted to say is that I have put certain guidelines for myself as to how to dress around people who are way senior to me, who have I pretty much grown-up idolising. Salman sir is, of course, one of them,” she was quoted as saying by ETimes.
Meanwhile, Shehnaaz Gill has previously worked with Salman Khan on the reality show Bigg Boss. In addition to Salman Khan, Shehnaaz and Palak, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan also stars Venkatesh, Pooja Hegde, and Jagapathi Babu with an ensemble cast.
